From the Medical Reserve Corps of Massachusetts, “Prep School: A Readiness Podcast” provides listeners with common sense medical tips and preparedness information important for any stage of life.  Prep School’s host, Denise Schwartz, explores topics of preparedness and resilience with guests such as substance use disorder expert Dr. Ruth Potee who talks about dopamine and our brains and why we keep doing things that are not good for us; resilience researcher Tricia Yacovone-Biagi about how Buffalo, NY bounced back after a mass shooting; public health nurse Meg Ryan prepares us for hearing a diagnosis of dementia; and dancers tell us how to increase endorphins and lower cortisol levels in our stressed bodies by stepping onto the dance floor and moving to a beat.

Hosted by Denise Schwartz and Carmela Lanza-Weil and produced in the Multimedia Studios at Greenfield Community College in beautiful Franklin County, Massachusetts, USA. Produced by Alex Audette.
